On May 12, 2026, a 3-member delegation from a leading Korean oil and gas firm visited GNEE Group’s Cangzhou production base to inspect API L80-1 oil casing and finalize a $2.3 million procurement contract.
The delegation first toured the seamless steel pipe workshop, focusing on the dual-temperature quenching process that ensures the casing’s yield strength hits 551-758 MPa, fully complying with API 5CT standards. In the testing center, they reviewed data showing the casing retains 490 MPa yield strength at 350℃, with a 17.2% reduction rate—1.36 percentage points below the industry average. Its CO₂ corrosion rate was 0.023 mm/a, far lower than the national standard of 0.076 mm/a.
During symposium discussions, the Korean side requested long round threads (LTC) for enhanced connection tightness. GNEE’s technical team confirmed they could customize 1,200 LTC-threaded casings within 45 days. On delivery, GNEE promised 500 units to Busan Port in 20 days, with the remaining 700 split into two batches over 35 and 45 days, aligning with the customer’s early June offshore drilling schedule.
